Figures for the European cell phone market have corroborated a general decline in sales of these devices in the last quarter.

According to figures from Counterpoint Research , 40.3 million cell phones were shipped in the second quarter of 2022, a dramatic drop from the 56.6 million registered in the last quarter of 2021.

The market analysis firm indicates that a deteriorating economic climate and geopolitical uncertainty hit the sale of cell phones in Europe and in the world.

Sales down, but leaders remain

Xiaomi closes the podium with 7.5 million cell phones shipped (19%).

The analysis firm’s report also highlights OPPO , including OnePlus , (5%) and Realme (3%).

Other cell phone brands have the remaining 17% of the market in Europe.
