Samsung found an interesting niche with the Fan Edition , a phone that met the conditions of the brand’s premium phones at a lower cost. This idea of satisfying the fans of the brand with an annual team seems to be discarded this 2022, and perhaps forever.
According to SamMobile , the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE will not be presented in 2022, and the future of the “Fan Edition” format could be completely canceled after two years.
The outlet notes that “multiple sources have indicated that the S22 FE will not be unveiled and that there will be no further FE models in development.” The most recent was the S21 FE presented at CES 2022, an event that NIUSGEEK attended.
Samsung would cancel the S22 FE
SamMobile points out in the analysis that this problem lies in the place that the FE occupies in the current portfolio of Samsung products . The S21 FE was supposed to arrive at the end of 2021 , but it was presented in January 2022, a month after the new S22 line.
This overlapping of events, involving the Galaxy A line and the new foldable phones, have displaced the FE format. The media indicates that the possible nomenclature assigned to the postponed S22 FE would be SM-S900 in the list of Samsung equipment .
If this situation is confirmed, Samsung would have canceled a format after two completely different years: a triumphant S20 FE that appeared at the right time in the market, and an S21 FE that arrived late and without generating greater expectations.
