As we know, the Santa Clause movie will return to Disney + with a new series, tentatively titled The Santa Clause.
The return of the protagonist Tim Allen , who will also participate as an executive producer, and it has now been confirmed that the cast will also include Elizabeth Mitchell , who appeared in the sequels What happened to Santa Clause? in 2002 and Santa Clause is in trouble in 2006.
Filming will begin next March in Los Angeles.
History
In the 1994 film Santa Clause , Tim Allen plays the role of Scott Calvin, the replacement for Santa Claus, complete with an oversized waistline, rosy cheeks and a snow-white mustache.
In the Disney + series, Scott Calvin is about to turn 65 and realizes he can’t be Santa forever. He is starting to miss out on his responsibilities as Santa Claus and, more importantly, he has a family that could finally benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two children who grew up at the Pole. With plenty of elves, children and a family to please, Scott sets out on a search for a suitable Santa to replace him as he prepares his family for a new adventure for a life south of the Pole.
Jack Burditt ( 30 Rock, Modern Family, Frasier, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ) participates as executive producer and showrunner in collaboration with Kevin Hench ( The man of the house ), Richard Baker and Rick Messina .
