Scan eyes for payments and logins, Apple’s promise for its rumored glasses

Apple ‘s much-rumored mixed reality glasses would be developing eye iris scanning to corroborate the identity of users.

Different reports have echoed the development of mixed reality glasses (augmented and virtual) by Apple . Now a new rumor is giving you a very important password cracking tool.

According to The Informatio n, mixed reality glasses are implementing the iris scan of people to log in and make payments easily and simply.

Apple wants to keep innovating

In order to implement this feature, Apple bought eye-tracking lens maker SensoMotorics in 2017, already thinking of creating its own device.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also said in 2021 that Primax would supply the eye-tracking modules and that they would support iris detection .

This would make it easier to purchase apps and could even simplify multi-user support, according to insiders.

More features

The headset could also have some advantages over Meta’s recently announced Quest Pro . Two of the previously claimed 14 cameras will purportedly track your legs, giving it an advantage in full-body tracking compared to the rival company’s 10-camera device.

Previous rumors have also hinted at other premium features, including very high-resolution screens , detailed facial expression tracking, and even a way to magnetically attach custom prescription lenses.

The headset can work with the M2 chip on recent Macs, but could use a lower screen refresh rate to extend battery life at the expense of a more natural experience.

Numerous reported leaks point to the headset launching sometime in 2023.
