Scarlett Johansson joins Wes Anderson’s new movie

The Black Widow star is the latest big name to join the filmmaker’s new movie, who is in Spain ready to start filming

The film has the usual staff of Anderson actors, such as Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, but at the same time, it adds the stars of Margot Robbie and Tom Hanks to its new film adventure. Rupert Friend will also be part.

Details of the plot of the film, which Anderson wrote and is directing, are being kept under wraps, and details of Johansson’s character were not disclosed.

Anderson is expected to finish filming in late September, just in time to see the premiere of his latest film, The French Dispatch, in October via Searchlight.

This isn’t Johansson’s first time working with Anderson, but it will be his first in front of the camera. Previously he lent his voice to the animated film stop-motion 2018 of the author, Isle of Dogs.
The actress, who earned two Oscar nominations in 2020 for her roles in Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit , has just said goodbye to Marvel wearing the costume of the superheroine Black Widow for the last time , which led to a lawsuit against Disney, alleging that her contract broke when the Marvel movie was released on Disney + at the same time as in theaters.
