Paramount Pictures has released a featurette dedicated to the new characters of Scream, the fifth chapter of the famous horror saga (the first without Wes Craven , who directed the previous films).
Ghostface will target Sam Carpenter ( Melissa Barrera ) and other Woodsboro boys, all linked to a character from the past, a sign that the killer’s goals have deep roots in the history of the franchise. Obviously they are all suspects, but one wonders if Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (the same ones from Till Death Do Us Part ) don’t have some tricks up their sleeves to surprise fans. However, Sidney ( Neve Campbell ), Dewey ( David Arquette ) and Gale ( Courteney Cox ) will return to action to stop the killer.
Some time ago, the directors stated that the new film is a love letter to the original , and that the first trailer is full of red herrings . Also do not miss the spots of the past few days: you can see them here and here .
The US release is expected on January 14, 2022 , while the Italian one is not yet available; however, it is known that Eagle Pictures will handle the distribution. You will find the featurette below.
