The sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was announced a few months after the release of the first film.
but Kevin Feige didn’t mention it at either Comic-Con or D23, so the release date wasn’t. still officialized. The moderators of Marvel Studios Spoilers on Reddit, however, claim to have discovered it thanks to some sources deemed “reliable”.
Well, it seems that the sequel – still untitled – will hit American theaters on February 14, 2025 , almost three months ahead of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty . Charles Murphy also supported this indiscretion:
If you haven’t noticed, this is something I’ve talked about for quite a while now and I would concur with this source. https://t.co/e1QWuZS3hQ

On July 25 of the same year, another mysterious MCU film will be released , while Avengers: Secret Wars – which will close Phase 6, and therefore also the Multiverse Saga – is expected for November 7.
We don’t know anything about this sequel, but obviously Simu Liu will return in the role of Shang-Chi . At the end of the first film, he and Katy ( Awkwafina ) followed Wong to investigate the mysterious origins of the Ten Rings. Direction will again be by Destin Daniel Cretton , who will also write the screenplay; in addition, he will direct the aforementioned Avengers: The Kang Dynasty .
I remind you that Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings has grossed more than 430 million dollars worldwide, a remarkable figure if we consider that many people still kept away from cinemas for fear of Covid. We will keep you posted.
Shang-Chi must face the past he believed he left behind when he is lured into the web of the mysterious organization of the Ten Rings.
Simu Liu ( Blood and Water ) plays Shang-Chi , while the great Tony Leung lends his face to the real Mandarin . The cast also includes Awkwafina ( Katy ), Fala Chen ( Jiang Li ), Meng’er Zhang ( Xialing ), Michelle Yeoh ( Jiang Nan ), Ronny Chieng ( Jon Jon ), Florian Munteanu ( Razor Fist ) and Dallas Liu .
Screenplay and direction
The screenplay is the work of Dave Callaham ( The Expendables, Godzilla, Jean-Claude Van Johnson, Zombieland: Double Shot, Wonder Woman 1984, Spider-Man: A New Universe 2 ). The direction was instead entrusted to Destin Daniel Cretton ( The glass castle, The right to oppose, Tokyo Vice ).
Shang-Chi , Master of Kung-Fu, was created by Steve Englehart (texts) and Jim Starlin (drawings) on Special Marvel Edition n ° 15 (December 1973). He is the greatest martial arts expert in the Marvel Universe , and his strength is based entirely on training and individual talent, not superpowers. He is the son of the criminal Fu Manchu , and has been a part of both Heroes for Sale (such as Steel Fist and Luke Cage ) and the Avengers .
