The synopsis of the first film
There is a superhero inside each of us, it just takes a little magic to bring it out. In the case of Billy Batson just say the word “SHAZAM!”. This 14-year-old adopted boy can transform into the adult superhero Shazam, thanks to an ancient sorcerer. Preserving the heart of a child in a handsome, godlike body, Shazam does what any superpowered kid would do: have fun! Can he fly? Does he have x-ray vision? Can he shoot beams from his hands? Can he skip his homework? Shazam decides to test all his powers with the light-heartedness typical of children. But he must learn to control them to counter the evil forces controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

As for the actors, Zachary Levi plays the superhero, while Asher Angel lends the face of his alter ego, the little Billy Batson . Mark Strong was the villain Doctor Sivana in the first film, while Grace Caroline Currey plays Mary Bromfield . Also starring Jack Dylan Grazer ( Freddy Freeman ), Cooper Andrews , Marta Milans , Ross Butler , DJ Cotrona , Meagan Good , Adam Brody , Djimon Hounsou andJohn Glover .
The sequel will star Rachel Zegler , Helen Mirren ( Hespera ) and Lucy Liu ( Kalypso ). Gal Gadot could make a cameo as Wonder Woman .
Director
Directing the film is David F. Sandberg ( Lights Out , Annabelle: Creation ). Black Adam ( Dwayne Johnson ) does not appear in the film, but will star in a cinecomic dedicated to him. The screenplay is by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke .
The composer
The soundtrack is the work of Christophe Beck , Canadian musician with great experience on the small and big screen. He won an Emmy for Buffy the Vampire Slayer , and has also worked on Frozen, The Muppets, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, Pitch Perfect and many other films. He is also a veteran of superhero projects: he has composed the music for Elektra, Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, WandaVision (for which he received an Emmy nomination) and Hawkeye .

Shazam , initially called Captain Marvel , was created by CC Beck and Bill Parker in 1939, but first appeared in Whiz Comics n° 2 (February 1940), a book by Fawcett Comics , a publishing house later acquired by DC .
The superhero is the alter ego of William “Billy” Batson , a 15-year-old orphan who can summon the powers of the wizard Shazam and transform himself into the character of the same name, an adult and gifted with great abilities: in fact, he possesses the wisdom of Solomon , the strength of Heracles , the endurance of Atlas , the power of Zeus , the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury .
