Apple TV + has released the trailer for Shining Girls , the new series with Elisabeth Moss , who also participates as a producer and director.
Consisting of eight episodes, the series will make its debut on the streaming platform on April 29th.
Inspired by the 2013 novel of the same name, written by Lauren Beukes, Shining Girls tells the story of Kirby Mazrachi (Elisabeth Moss), an archivist who put aside her ambitions as a journalist after being violently attacked. She discovers that a recent murder has many things in common with what happened to her and decides to join forces with an experienced reporter, Dan Velazquez (Wagner Moura), to find out the identity of the killer. The two will discover that there are many cold cases that have the same dynamics, while the culprit always manages to be one step ahead.
The cast also includes Phillipa Soo ( Dopesick ), Amy Brenneman ( The Leftovers ) and Jamie Bell ( TURN: Washington’s Spies ). Shining Girls will arrive on Apple TV + on April 29 with the first three episodes, while the following will be released weekly, every Friday.
