TNT has released the trailer for season 3 of Snowpiercer.

The plot
The third season of Snowpiercer will debut January 24 on TNT. In the new episodes we will see Layton ( Daveed Diggs ), Ruth ( Alison Wright ) and other passengers looking for New Eden to save themselves in a warming Earth. By the end of season 2, we had left Layton and Ruth as they plotted to regain control of the train. With the help of Javier ( Roberto Urbina ) and Alexandra ( Rowan Blanchard ), they had managed to return to the Snowpiercer and had garnered acclaim for their rebellion. Josie ( Katie McGuiness ) had destroyed the aquarium car, separating the train head from the remaining 1,023 carriages.
In season 3 we will see Layton and his followers take control of a small “pirate train” of ten wagons to search for Melanie ( Jennifer Connelly ) and find a warm place to restart civilization. On the Snowpiercer, meanwhile, Mr. Wilford ( Sean Bean ) is consolidating his power and awaiting Layton’s return.
