Sorrento is tinged with Cinema, once again. The Professional Cinema Days have officially begun , now in their 45th edition. Once again this year the event will bring together the most important exponents of the Italian film industry including distributors, exhibitors, producers, professionals and operators in the sector for a 4-day full-immersion in the cinema of the next season.

To open the event, after a brief greeting from Giorgio Ferrero (ANEC vice president) and Simone Gialdini (ANEC general manager), the presidents of the film category associations took care of it, as usual: Mario Lorini , Anec president; Luigi Lonigro , president of the Anica publishers and distributors union; Benedetto Habib , president of the Anica producers’ union.

Their speeches did not ignore the tough situation in the film industry. As Lonigro pointed out, 2022 will hardly be able to exceed 45 million tickets sold. But we can see the light at the end of the tunnel: 2023 could be confirmed as the year of certainties of change.

Then it was time for the Universal Pictures International Italy convention . Xavier Albert , Managing Director Italy & France, opened the presentation, followed in order by Massimo Proietti , Deputy Managing Director of Universal Pictures International Italy,   Giorgia Di Cristo (Senior Marketing Manager, Research and Local Productions), Irene Macaione (social media , influencers & digital projects specialist), Marta Salvatori (Publicity Coordinator), Matilde Ella Nuvola Marinai (Senior Publicity Manager), Francesca Rumi (Trade Marketing Manager), Giammarco Caccese D’Andrea (Trade marketing & Serving Specialist), Marta Federico (Senior Product Manager) and Valentina Scopelliti (Product Manager).
