SpaceX tourists spoke to Tom Cruise from space

Crewmembers of the “Inspiration4” mission spoke with actor Tom Cruise , one of the most interested in shooting a movie from space.

The space tourists currently orbiting the Earth aboard a ship SpaceX conversed with the famous actor Tom Cruise , announced on Friday the mission in his Twitter account. “Rook, Nova, Hanks and Leo spoke with Tom Cruise today,” tweeted the official Inspiration4 mission account , using the nicknames of the four civilian crew members of the SpaceX spacecraft.

“They shared their experience from space,” the tweet added. “Maverick, you can be our side whenever you want.” Maverick is the name of the elite pilot that Tom Cruise played in the movie “Top Gun.”

Last year, Jim Bridenstine – the former NASA administrator under then-President Donald Trump – announced a film project starring Tom Cruise aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

However, details of the project have not been disclosed at the moment, which should be done in cooperation with SpaceX. The four Inspiration4 passengers, billionaire Jared Isaacman and three other Americans, took off Wednesday night from Cape Canaveral, Florida. They are currently orbiting Earth beyond the ISS, and the mission is scheduled to last three days in total.
