After the image set in Mumbattan , it is still Empire to publish a new shot of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse .
The image in question shows the Vulture for the first time , busy battling Miguel O’Hara / Spider-Man 2099 ( Oscar Isaac ) in Nueva York. As you can see, the super-villain is entirely in shades of brown, with very large wings and a mask with a sharp beak.
The film is the middle episode of a trilogy, which will conclude with Beyond the Spider-Verse . In this regard, the screenwriter and producer Christopher Miller cites another famous “middle chapter”:
Some people who have seen Across have told us that it looks like The Empire Strikes Back from the Spider-Verse franchise . It will show you worlds you haven’t seen yet, and it’s an exciting story that will make you feel like you need to see the third one, considering the ending. So yes: it’s our Empire .
Joaquim Dos Santos , director of the film together with Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson , speaks instead of the situation in which we will find Miles Morales ( Shameik Moore ).
Miles thought he would never see his friends again. But in this sequel he reconnects with Gwen, and discovers that he is part of a group of Spider-People whose mission is to protect the multiverse. From there, he finds himself having this adventure through various worlds.
Shameik Moore himself adds:
He’s older, he’s got a little more experience. But he misses his friends. His abilities are growing, but he wants more challenge.
