Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is nearly released in theaters on June 1st.

And now a new rumor has spread on the net, due to some Vietnamese promotional materials, which seem to have spoiled a tasty detail. Read only if you are not afraid of spoiling the surprise.

Apparently, in the film there will be a scene in which the Blur ( Jason Schwartzman ), a villain already seen in the trailers , will pop into a certain shop: that of Mrs. Chen ( Peggy Lu ), a character seen in the Venom films . The image comes from the film’s Vietnamese Facebook page, which reads:

After the LEGO Universe, the live-action Venom universe will also appear in the Spider-Verse. And there will be more exciting things to reveal!

Does that mean we’ll see Eddie Brock too? For now obviously there are no official confirmations, but in a film set in the multiverse, moreover produced by the same studio as Venom , anything is possible.

The synopsis of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Miles Morales returns in the next chapter in the Academy Award-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse . After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, the friendly Brooklyn neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted into the Multiverse, where he meets a team of “Spider-Heroes” charged with protecting its existence. But when the heroes clash over how to deal with a new threat, Miles finds himself up against the other “Spiders” and will have to redefine what it means to be a hero in order to save the people he loves most.
