Thanks to the theory of parallel universes and the consequences and narrative possibilities of films and series such as Spider-Man – A new universe.
What If…? and Spider-Man: No Way Home , we can now expect everything from superhero movies: Andrew Garfield , star of the two films in The Amazing Spider-Man series , says he would like to return to the role again.
Warning: later we will go into spoilers on Spider-Man: No Way Home!
After months of insistent rumors and equally glaring denials, in the end we discovered that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield actually appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home , to reprise their historical roles in a, certainly, unusual way.
Well, the two actors, if possible, were greeted with even more affection than when they participated in their films as absolute protagonists, complete with petitions to let the sequels (planned but never realized) of their respective sagas go into production.
Garfield in particular was invested with an affection that did not seem to have been given to him at the time, and he was clearly very happy about it, stating that he would gladly return to work with fellow “spiders”.
I would love to continue working with Tobey and Tom. I think this sort of “three brothers” dynamic is… how to say, intriguing. (…) But to be honest, man, I’ll just say I’m so happy and satisfied and grateful to be a part of this. It’s hard to ask for more. I’m just, like, trying to savor this moment with the fans, with the audience, and somehow say “thank you”. Yes. I feel humbled and grateful for this reaction.
This is the synopsis of No Way Home:
