SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME DESERVED A BEST PICTURE OSCAR NOMINATION FOR KEVIN SMITH

This was not enough to convince the Academy to include it in the list of the awards “that matter” at the next Oscars. Still, well-known pop filmmaker Kevin Smith disagrees, and he is keen to let it be known.

What the fuck? They have ten free slots [for nominations] and can’t give one to the heck of a movie that’s stronger than the last, like, three years? Come on, and then they also complain that nobody looks at them anymore. Make a popular choice shit, shit, come on. How many spaces do you have available? Throw in Spider-Man, for God’s sake.

He didn’t take it very well, it seems.
