On May 5, it will make its debut on Paramount + Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
A spin-off of Star Trek: Discovery and prequel to the classic Star Trek series , focusing on the pre-Kirk Enterprise. We have already seen a trailer, but now Paramount has also released a series of promos dedicated to the individual protagonists. Not only Spock, Una and Uhura, but also some of the unreleased characters that we will see.

Next to them we will see Babs Olusanmokun ( Black Mirror , Dune ), Christina Chong ( Tom & Jerry , Black Mirror ), Celia Rose Gooding (stage actress who appeared in the musical Jagged Little Pill ), Jess Bush ( Playing for Keeps ) and Melissa Navia ( Billions ). The series has already been renewed for a second season, wherePaul Wesley ( The Vampire Diaries ) will appear as James T. Kirk , future captain of the Enterprise

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is produced by CBS Studios, Roddenberry Entertainment and the Secret Hideout of Alex Kurtzman , creator of Discovery and Picard and demiurge of the new Star Trek television universe . Kurtzman also wrote JJ Abrams ‘ two Star Treks with Roberto Orci .
Strange New Worlds showrunners, however, are Akiva Goldsman (also Picard ‘s showrunner ) and Henry Alonso Myers . Goldsman wrote the pilot episode (from a story conceived with Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet ) and directed it. Goldsman, Kurtzman and Lumet are executive producers along with Alonso Myers, Heather Kadin, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth .
