Deadline
reveals it , bringing to light what could become a new stage of the so-called “Streaming Wars”. But let’s proceed in order.

David Zaslav is not satisfied with the agreements made with Netflix

It seems that Zaslav is not satisfied with the agreements made with Netflix before his arrival. Deals that would see Warner Bros. Discovery sell entire shows to Netflix for development and distribution. Among these we find titles such as Sweet Tooth, Manifest and The Sandman , a series inspired by the work of Neil Gaiman and renewed for a second season.

What will happen to Sandman?

These agreements provide for payment terms that can vary from 18 to 24 months and this clause, apparently, has not met with Zaslav’s favor, who according to reports would have given indications to block any new sale to Netflix . It’s unclear whether the second season of The Sandman is part of this move or is now part of agreements made previously.
As always, we will keep you updated on any developments.
