Surveys on WhatsApp: this way you can create queries in your chats

WhatsApp will include the ability to create polls within the application.

Over time, WhatsApp has increased its value proposition with a series of features that make it easier to use the platform, both commercially and in personal chats.

While Telegram is, so far, the Swiss army knife of apps, the Meta sub-brand boasts a huge daily user base. One such useful feature is yet to come: in-chat polls.

According to WABetaInfo , WhatsApp has already been testing surveys within individual conversations in the Android beta, after working on the implementation of this tool in groups.

The media reports that the surveys maintain the design in group and individual chats, having the possibility of adding up to twelve different options to integrate them under a query.

Unlike other platforms, the interactions and results of the survey will be kept end-to-end encrypted, maintaining the privacy guidelines that WhatsApp has been implementing for a few years.

WhatsApp Poll: how they work

When creating a query, the user can add up to twelve different response options, which can be reordered by dragging each response. When determining the order, the question is published as a long list that ends with a “see votes” indicator.

WhatsApp will update the information after each vote made in the query, just as it happens in the groups. At the moment, there is no official announcement about the arrival of this feature to user accounts outside of the Android beta. However, this new form of interaction has only been deployed to some users within the recently released beta.

In the case of surveys developed for group chats, this tool will not be limited to the use of administrators, but the surveys can be created by the members.
