Tesla’s new update includes Disney +, wash mode and more

A new update to Tesla’s software (2021.24) is coming today to the electric vehicles of the firm, founded and led by Elon Musk and includes attractive news that includes:

 Disney +

The brand’s cars equipped with Tesla Theater could already access streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube and Twitch. With version 2021.24 of the software for these cars, they also allow users to watch Disney + while parked.

“Now you can watch Disney + in the Tesla Theater app. To start Tesla Theater, tap on the Entertainment icon in the application launcher and select the Theater tab while your car is in PARK,” the automaker explained on its site.

Car Wash Mode

Car Wash Mode or wash mode is one of the new features coming to Tesla cars today. Its objective is to facilitate the cleaning of vehicles. The company explains it as follows.

“The car wash mode closes all the windows, locks the charging port, and disables the windshield wipers, sentry mode, door locks, and parking sensors. For automatic car washes with conveyor belts, the Free Roll option changes to Neutral and prevents the parking brake from being applied automatically. To access the car wash mode, touch Controls> Service> Car Wash Mode (or Car Wash Mode) ».

Other novelties

Tesla also incorporates other novelties. First, its Dashcam camera system, in charge of recording events, is now capable of automatically saving clips when, for example, an accident occurs or if, for some reason, an airbag is deployed.

“Captured recordings are stored and never transmitted to Tesla,” the company clarified. To activate this feature, “tap Controls> Safety & Security> Dash Cam> AUTO,” he added. Before this feature, drivers had to press the dashcam icon to save an event that just happened.

Finally, Tesla has also added three new language options in this latest update: Hungarian, Romanian and Russian, as well as using Wi-Fi access points while driving:

“To stay connected to Wi-Fi,” he explained, “tap the Wi-Fi icon> Wi-Fi settings> Stay connected in Drive. This is especially useful for users who want to use their access points (or hotspots) to maintain connectivity”.
