Nina Dobrev , star of The Vampire Diaries , will join Aaron Eckhart
The Bricklayer , action directed by Renny Harlin ( 58 minutes to die , Cliffhanger ) and produced by Gerard Butler . Shooting will start in March between Greece and Bulgaria. Millennium Media will present the project at the Berlin Film Festival’s European Film Market, which this year will be held in a virtual version .
The plot
Someone is killing foreign journalists and passing the crimes as wanted by the CIA, to blackmail the American agency. To prevent a scandal and cope with an increasingly heated public opinion, the CIA will be forced to call its most brilliant and rebellious agent into service, forcing him to face the gray areas of his past and unravel an international conspiracy.
Authors and producers
Hannah Weg ( Shiraz – City of Roses ) and Matt Johnson ( Trap at the Bottom of the Sea ) wrote the screenplay for The Bricklayer . In addition to Gerard Butler, producers will be Alan Siegel and Danielle Robinson for G-Base, Heidi Jo Markel for Eclectic Pictures and Jeffrey Greenstein, Les Weldon, Jonathan Yunger, Yariv Lerner and Rob Van Norden for Millennium Media. Millennium’s Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson and Tanner Mobley will executive produce.
