A miniseries inspired by the novel of the same name by Erik Larson which will see the participation of Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio as executive producers.
Well, it seems that the project is finally ready to go and according to the latest rumors Keanu Reeves , now back in Italian cinemas with Matrix: Resurrections , would be in talks for the lead role.

History

The main setting of the book is the World’s Fair which was held in Chicago in 1893. The protagonists are the architect Daniel H. Burnham and Dr. Henry H. Holmes, who is actually a serial killer whose victims are young women. The fate of the world-famous event and of the two characters is inextricably linked.

From the big to the small screen

The project was originally intended as a feature film for the cinema. DiCaprio had in fact bought the exploitation rights of the novel in 2010, asking his friend and artistic partner Scorsese to direct the film. Todd Field should take care of directing the miniseries, divided into two episodes.
