It’s still surreal. It is such a risky and delicate situation that a lot of respect is needed. This is a personal matter that he will have to address. Chris’s character is obviously a big part of the series and we had a fantastic alchemy, a fantastic alchemy. But I think that justice must prevail in any case. I just want the right thing to be done, okay?

Regarding the explanation of William Bishop’s exit from the series, Chris Noth’s character Latifah added:

We’re trying to figure out what we want to do creatively in the series, and how we’re going to work out with that character.

The accusations

Chris Noth was accused last month by two women in an article published by The Hollywood Reporter. The two charges, a case of rape in Los Angeles in 2004 and one of harassment in New York in 2015, were joined by those of actress Zoe Lister-Jones , who spoke of her inappropriate behavior at work, and singer Lisa Gentile . , who instead accused him of harassment in a manner very similar to that of one of the first two witnesses. Noth was also eliminated from editing the final episode of And Just Like That… , the sequel to Sex and the City that had just begun by the time the allegations surfaced.
