One who saw the film beforehand and loved it, even reaching out to director Andy Muschietti to compliment it, is Tom Cruise . And a Tom Cruise endorsement in Hollywood can be worth a lot.
The actor asked Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav to preview The Flash , and of course he was granted. Cruise liked the film so much that he personally called Muschietti to tell him. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he said The Flash has “everything you want in a movie” and is “the kind of movie we need right now.”
Statements that only increase the hype around a title that was already being praised by various sources within Warner. He’s not 100% sure that the film will do well, but one thing at least seems certain: qualitatively speaking, Muschietti and his team have given their all.
