The Flash , the anticipated DC film starring Ezra Miller , will compete with recent Marvel films and present DC’s version of the multiverse.
We already know that there will be two Batmans in the film –Michael KeatonandBen Affleck– and several parallel versions of Barry Allen, as well asa possible very tasty cameo(SPOILER!).
But now there is another interesting rumor: in the film we could also see Grant Gustin , the Barry Allen of television.
The ninth and final season of The Flash TV series has just kicked off in the USA, and for Grant Gustin it will be the last run in the role of the Scarlet Sprinter. But, if we’re to heed this rumor, before he’s gone altogether, Gustin could also make a mark on DC’s cinematic side. The rumor stems from the Reddit cover of The Flash ‘s The Official Visual Companion , a “comprehensive collection of startling images, behind-the-scenes anecdotes and interviews” created to accompany the film’s release. Gustin’s version also appears on the cover, among the numerous Flash variants.
If this were to happen, it would be an exchange of favors between the two Flashes: Ezra Miller in fact appeared in a famous scene of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover , an event that had united the different series of The CW’s Arrowverse. There are also those who are clamoring that, given the trouble Miller has gotten himself into in recent times, Grant Gustin replaces him as the new cinematic Barry Allen. The chances of this happening are very low, almost nil, but the possibility that Gustin will appear in at least one cameo in the film cannot be ruled out. After all, the two Flashes have met on TV before, and that was the really hard part.

Flashpoints
The film is inspired by Flashpoint . In the comics, Barry Allen goes back in time to prevent the murder of his mother Nora , and distorts the timeline of the DC universe , finding himself in a very different present: in this timeline , he never became the Flash and Earth lives a deep crisis situation, also because many superheroes are no longer superheroes; Wonder Woman and the Amazons, for example, have conquered the United Kingdom, while Aquaman has devastated Western Europe with a tidal wave to annex it to his rule. Batman exists, but behind his mask is Thomas Wayne, not his son Bruce , who was killed during the infamous robbery.
