THE GIRLS OF THE SURF FROM AUGUST 19 ON APPLE TV +, THE TRAILER OF THE NEW SERIES BY MAY CHAN

Apple TV + has released the trailer for the new series for children and families The girls of the surf , out on August 19.

Co-developed by WGA award winner and showrunner May Chan ( American Girl: Corinne Tan, The Astronauts) , alongside Alex Diaz and Julie Sagalowsky Diaz ( The Shannara Chronicles, What’s Up Warthogs! ), And based on the bestselling series of the same name by IDW graphic novel by author Kim Dwinell, the series follows the adventures of Sam and Jade as they solve supernatural mysteries in their sleepy California beach town.

The cast includes Miya Cech ( Marvelous and the Black Hole, Rim of the World ), YaYa Gosselin ( We Can be Heroes, FBI: Most Wanted ) and Spencer Hermes-Rebello ( Too much ).

The series is produced by Endeavor Content and IDW Entertainment, and co-developed, written and produced by May Chan , who is also showrunner. Paul Stupin ( Switched at Birth – In Your Place, Dawson’s Creek ) is the executive producer. Alex Diaz and Julie Sagalowsky Diaz ( The Shannara Chronicles, What’s Up Warthogs! ) Co-developed the series which they are also writing and executive producing. America Young ( Roswell, New Mexico, Legacies ) is the director and executive producer of the first two episodes. Also Lydia Antonini ( Locke & Key, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, October Faction) is executive producing the series, as well as Paul Davidson and Jeff Brustrom , on behalf of IDW.
