Kuo blames the price increase on price increases in the manufacture of the Pro and Pro Max models.

Everything points to the rise
Other sources have also claimed that the next iPhones will be priced higher, including Taiwanese research firm TrendForce. The firm predicts that iPhone 14 Pro models will start with 256GB of storage to justify the price increase.

While the base iPhone 14 is expected to come with an upgraded 48MP rear camera and autofocus selfie camera, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models are rumored to get the bulk of the upgrades. The Pro and Pro Max may ditch the notch that houses the front-facing camera in favor of a pill-shaped hole-punch cutout, will come equipped with the new A16 chip , and support an always-on display.
Of course, they would be the last to maintain a Lightning charging port .
