With the release of The Little Mermaid approaching, Disney presses the accelerator on the promotional campaign: a new featurette dedicated to the protagonist Halle Bailey is in fact available .
Her casting was met with much controversy – still ongoing, unfortunately – but the young actress has shown that she knows how to perfectly embody the figure of Ariel , above all thanks to her prodigious voice. In this video, Halle Bailey shares her excitement at getting the part of her, joined by other cast members and director Rob Marshall .
As we know, Mahmood will voice Sebastian in the Italian dub, while Yana_C and Sara Labidi will play Ariel in the songs and dialogues, respectively. Simona Patitucci , who had voiced the protagonist in the animated classic, will give the voice to Ursula . Don’t miss the character posters .

Direction and screenplay
This live-action remake of The Little Mermaid was directed by Rob Marshall , who previously worked with Disney on Mary Poppins Returns , Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Into the Woods . The screenplay is by David Magee and Jane Goldman ( Kick-Ass, Kingsman ).
