Some recent statements by Giancarlo Esposito – alias Moff Gideon – have surprised and partly confused Star Wars fans :

The actor revealed on The Rich Eisen Show that the third season of The Mandalorian will be released next summer, an unusual period for the series (filming of which, among other things, have just finished).

Well, Collider’s Steven Weintraub – probably after consulting his sources – argues instead that the third will debut at the end of the year, thus following the tradition of the first two (released respectively in November and at the end of October).

Indeed, a summer debut sounded unlikely for The Mandalorian , when you think about its established success in the fall months. There are rumors that Andor may be out in the summer, but for now it’s just rumors. At the Star Wars Celebration on May 26-29, we could find out more.

Obviously all the series set in the galaxy far distant land on Disney + . We will keep you posted.

The official synopsis

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe . The Mandalorian series takes place after the fall of the Empire and before the threat of the First Order. We will follow the story of a lone gunslinger in the remotest parts of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic.
