The Medium , the psychological horror video game developed by Bloober Team , will become a TV series.
The project stems from the collaboration between Bloober Team and Platige Image , and will be curated by Tomasz Baginski (Platige Image, former Executive Producer of the Netflix series The Witcher ) and Piotr Babieno (Bloober Team).
As stated by Babieno:
The film and video game industries are very close to my heart, I am very happy that finally there is the opportunity to combine them. My joy is even greater because two Polish companies will be in charge of the production of a series inspired by our video game. Gamers really enjoyed the story we told in The Medium and now more people will be able to get to know it. The successes of productions such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Arcane prove that this is the perfect time.
The story of The Medium
The game is set in post-communist Poland in 1999 and stars Marianne, a spiritual medium who helps troubled souls seek final peace. The woman has a recurring dream: a man shooting a girl by a lake. While she is mourning the death of her adoptive father, Marianne receives a mysterious phone call from a man named Thomas, who says he can explain the origin of her powers and the meaning of her dream.
