FX has released the trailer for The Patient , the thriller series that tells the story of Alan Strauss (Steve Carell).
A therapist held captive by a patient, Sam Fortner (Domhnall Gleeson), who turns out to be a serial killer.

The Patient was developed by Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields , the creative duo behind The Americans .
The cast also features Linda Emond ( Succession, The Gilded Age ), Laura Niemi ( This Is Us, Justified ) and A ndrew Leeds ( The Dropout, Zoey’s Amazing World ).
Chris Long ( The Americans, Suspicion ) directed the first two episodes, the other episodes were entrusted to Kevin Bray ( Succession, Insecure, The Americans, Run ) and Gwyneth Horder-Payton ( The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story , Pose, Pam & Tommy ).
The US debut is scheduled for August 30 on Hulu, in Italy the series will arrive on Disney + , but a date has not yet been announced.
