The Recruit , the Netflix series starring Noah Centineo , will return for a second season.
The renewal has been made official, and therefore the series will pick up the ranks from the cliffhanger of season 1, which saw Owen (Centineo) and Max (Laura Haddock) captured and in danger of life. Alexi Hawley, creator and showrunner, said:
I am happy to once again dive into the fun, goofy and action-packed world of The Recruit . Seeing how audiences embraced the series’ adventurous reinterpretation of the world of spies, and Noah’s character Owen, was incredibly satisfying, and I can’t wait to turn it all up to an “11” in Season 2.
Season 1 premiered on December 16, 2022 and spent five weeks in the Top 10 English-Language Netflix Series, reaching the Top 10 in 88 countries. Centineo will return as a performer and executive producer. To Tudum.com he told:
I know I speak for our entire cast and production team at eOne and Netflix when I say we are excited to return to The Recruit for a second season. I can’t wait to see what Alexi Hawley has in store for all of us.
Hawley will return as showrunner. Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis, Adam Ciralsky and Charlie Ebersol will return as executive producers.
