A series of specials with unreleased behind-the-scenes content from the eight episodes of the first season of the series inspired by the work of JRR Tolkien .
Specifically, these contents are available exclusively on X-Ray , through a full-screen experience that can be activated at any time by watching the series.

X-Ray behind-the-scenes content invites viewers to experience the production of Season 1 up close, allowing fans to discover how the series meticulously brought JRR Tolkien ‘s Middle-earth to life in all its glory . Dedicated “making of” clips – one for each of the eight episodes of the first season – allow you to dive deeper into the series, with exclusive access to behind-the-scenes videos, as well as interviews with the cast, showrunners, executive producers, directors and production team.
“The Making of Rings of Power” offers fans a very special behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the extraordinary realms that make up Middle-earth, including Númenor and Khazad-dûm, both shown for the first time on screen at the climax of their splendor, while also providing interesting details on the production design, sets, costumes, make-up, visual and special effects, stunts, sword fights, equestrian scenes and many other aspects of the extremely complex work necessary to recreate this magnificent world.
How do I access X-Ray?
Via mobile or web browser on Prime Video, move the cursor, tap the screen and/or pause the series to bring up the on-screen X-Ray controls. X-Ray’s on-screen quick view mode disappears after a few moments, so to see the X-Ray information again, just tap, click, or move the cursor again. Click or tap “X-Ray Details” at the top left of the screen to access X-Ray in full screen.
