Disney + announced this morning that Tim Allen (the voice of Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story, Daddy’s Hurricane.
The Man of the House ) will reprise the role of Scott Calvin for a new limited series titled The Santa Clause (working title).
The Allen-produced series will begin production in Los Angeles in March, with Jack Burditt (30 Rock, Modern Family, Frasier, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) in the role of executive producer and showrunner, and Kevin Hench (The Man of the House). , Richard Baker and Rick Messina as executive producers.
The series will be set after the film trilogy ( Santa Clause for which Allen won the People’s Choice Award, What Happened to Santa Clause? And Santa Clause is in Trouble ).
The synopsis:
Scott Calvin is about to turn 65 and realizes he can’t be Santa forever. He is starting to miss out on his responsibilities as Santa Claus, and more importantly, he has a family that could finally benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two children who grew up at the Polo. With plenty of elves, children and a family to please, Scott sets out on a search for a suitable Santa to replace him as he prepares his family for a new adventure in a life south of the Pole.
