Amazon has unveiled the teaser trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty.
A series based on the eponymous literary saga by Jenny Han ( To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before ), also showrunner with Gabrielle Stanton .
Newcomer Lola Tung plays Belly , a teenager who is preparing to live a different summer than usual with her childhood friends: puberty has changed them, and they begin to look at each other with new eyes. Here is the official synopsis:
The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama centered around a love triangle that is created between a girl and two brothers, the ever-changing relationship between mothers and their children, and the lasting power of strong female friendships. It is a coming-of-age story about love, the first breakups and the magic of a perfect summer.
The series will debut on June 17 on Prime Video . You can see the teaser below.
The cast includes Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Colin Ferguson and Tom Everett Scott .
At the helm of the series are showrunners Jenny Han, who also wrote the pilot episode, and Gabrielle Stanton. Han, Stanton, and Karen Rosenfelt are also executive producers, along with Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, and Nne Ebong for wiip. The series is an Amazon Studios co-production and wiip.
