On February 21, The Walking Dead will return to Disney +  with the new episodes.

The second tranche of a long final season that will accompany us for a good part of 2022. In the meantime, here is a photo of Maggie Rhee ( Lauren Cohan ) published by TV Line …

The first part of season 11 ended with Maggie, Gabriel ( Seth Gilliam ), Elijah ( Okea Eme-Akwari ) and Negan ( Jeffrey Dean Morgan ) battling the forces of the Reapers, led by the charismatic Pope ( Ritchie Coster ). In the end, it was Leah ( Lynn Collins ), formerly of Daryl ( Norman Reedus ), who took control of the group after killing Pope. Episode 8 ended with the Reapers ready to attack Maggie and her people.

In the review of the first part of season 11 we wrote that these episodes “can be considered a prologue, albeit a long one, while the main course is what awaits us in the next two sections”. We hope we weren’t wrong!

What will happen in the new episodes?

This February, The Walking Dead will return with most of the protagonists engaged in fighting the impending battle unleashed by the attack of the Reapers; while others, in Alexandria, will have to confront Mother Nature’s devastating wrath. For everyone, the world is literally collapsing before their eyes. Meanwhile, life in the Commonwealth isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Someone will find hope again. Others, however, will be pushed beyond the point of no return. Only one truth remains: lives are hanging by a thread and every decision will drastically change their future, their chances of survival and the state of each community.

Produced by AMC Studios and based on the comic series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics , The Walking Dead in the United States broke audience ratings over the course of ten seasons.
