Many of us were expecting a new look at the second season of The Witcher during Netflix’s TUDUM event, which is still underway right now. While these wishes came true, the platform did not stop here, as a third season was also confirmed, as well as a couple of additional projects.

Through a tweet, it has been confirmed that the world of The Witcher will grow even more in the coming years. To begin, it has been revealed that a third season of the live-action series starring Henry Cavill is already in development, although there are no details or release date at the moment. This was what was commented on the matter:

“Flip a coin into our growing Witcher universe! We can officially announce season 3 of The Witcher, along with a second anime feature film and a new children’s and family series set in the world of The Witcher.”

That’s right; a second animated film is also already in development. It is currently unknown if this will be a sequel to Nightmare of the Wolf or if it will be focused on another aspect of this universe. Lastly, it was revealed that there are plans to create a series focused on children. Like the other two announcements, there are no details at the moment.

Without a doubt, this shows that the universe of The Witcher for Netflix will not stop for the moment. Considering that this company has also started to enter the video game market, it would not be surprising to hear that some games related to these projects are already in development. We hope to have more information as soon as possible.
