If you have seen Avengers: Endgame , you probably remember that Thor left Earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The new image portrays the God of Thunder with his Ravager look (inspired by that of Eric Masterson / Thunderstrike in the comics) in front of some aliens on their planet.
It’s a scene we saw in the teaser , when Thor strips off a cloth that ends up in the face of one of the clubs, and Star-Lord rolls his eyes in frustration. Afterward, our hero appears in armor and cloak, but remains behind as the Guardians launch their assault.

Long after Thanos is defeated by the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy must convince Thor to return to the battlefield.
It is therefore the Guardians who convince him to return to action, probably after the God of Thunder has decided to retire to meditate on himself. Recently, director Taika Waititi said that the protagonist will experience a kind of “midlife crisis”.
