The Netflix released a new trailer for “Tick Tick … Boom!” , adaptation of the autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the renowned creator of “Rent”. Andrew Garfield plays the protagonist in the film directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda .

The synopsis describes: Days before he has to demonstrate his work at a showcase, Jon (Garfield) is feeling the pressure coming from all sides: from his girlfriend Susa (Alexandra Shipp), who dreams of an artistic life beyond New York; of his friend Michael (Robin de Jesús), who left his dreams behind in search of a financially secure life; and while the arts community is being ravaged by the AIDS epidemic, Jon feels his clock is ticking. The question hangs over your head: what are we destined to do with the time we have?
The cast also features Joshua Henry, MJ Rodriguez, Bradley Whitford, Tariq Trotter, Judith Light, and Vanessa Hudgens.
The film marks the directorial debut of Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of the musicals “In The Heights” and “Hamilton” . He also co-writes the screenplay with Stephen Levenson (from the “Fosse/Verdon” series ).
“Tick Tick… Boom!” premieres November 19 on Netflix.
