According to reports from Puck , Tom Cruise would be particularly angry because Oppenheimer and Barbie are stealing the show in his latest film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part 1 .

The reason? The three titles will be released just days apart in the United States, with the Tom Cruise film opening on July 12 and those of Christopher Nolan and Greta Gerwig on July 21.
Cruise in particular would be furious with Oppenheimer because he will be occupying a large portion of the IMAX screens .

While Tom Cruise ‘s new film will only screen in IMAX for the first week of release, Oppenheimer will instead be able to enjoy an exclusive deal for the first three weeks of screening on all IMAX screens in the United States. Tom Cruise would therefore feel treated very unfairly, especially considering that his previous film, Top Gun: Maverick , generated a lot of revenue: 110 million out of 1.5 billion in total takings came from IMAX screenings, to be precise.
That’s all for now, as always we will keep you updated.

In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team are faced with the most dangerous challenge they have ever faced: find and defuse a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity.
With the fate of the world and control of the future hanging in the balance, the team embarks on a frantic mission across the globe to prevent the weapon from falling into the wrong hands.
Faced with a mysterious and all-powerful enemy, tormented by dark forces from the past, Ethan will be forced to decide whether to sacrifice everything for this mission, including the lives of those who hold dear.
