The Netflix announced the first name in the cast of his new series in anime. Hayley Atwell will voice Lara Croft in “Tomb Raider” , Powerhouse Animation’s production for streaming.

The series will follow Lara Croft after the events of the reboot trilogy formed by the games “Tomb Raider” (2013), “Rise of the Tomb Raider” (2015) and “Shadow of the Tomb Raider” (2018). Tasha Huo (from the as-yet-unreleased “The Witcher: Blood Origin” ) will be the screenwriter.
Atwell is best known for being Agent Peggy Carter in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, a role she continues to play in the animated film “What If…?” . The actress has also worked in the format with Netflix, in “ The 3 Down Below: Tales of Arcadia” . Among his future projects are the sequels to “Mission: Impossible” .
“Tomb Raider” is one of the productions developed with Legendary TV, in partnership announced in January . The other is “Skull Island” , a series based on the 2017 Kong movie.
