Top Gun: Maverick was undoubtedly one of the great revelations of 2022.
The film with Tom Cruise has recently landed on Paramount+ , where it set a new record, confirming itself as the most watched film globally in its first streaming weekend on the platform.
From Thursday, December 22 to Sunday, December 25, the film broke the national record for most-watched premiere films on the service, surpassing the previous record, held by Sonic 2 , by 60 percent . In addition, the success of the film increased the viewing rate of the original Top Gun film by nearly 400% and titles in the Mission Impossible franchise by more than 140%.

The plot of Top Gun: Maverick
Lieutenant Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise), one of the best aviators in the Navy, after more than thirty years of service is still in the only place he wants to be. He avoids a promotion that would no longer allow him to fly, and he pushes the envelope once again, bravely testing new planes. Called to train a special team of Top Gun Academy students for a secret mission, Maverick will meet Lieutenant Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), nickname “Rooster”, son of his old flight mate Nick Bradshaw “Goose”. Grappling with an uncertain future and with the ghosts of his past, Maverick will have to face his deepest fears to complete a very difficult mission, which will require great sacrifice from all those who choose to participate.
