Netflix has revealed that the second season of Vikings: Valhalla will arrive on January 12th .
On this occasion, the first images of the new season were released.
The synopsis of the first season
Set over a thousand years ago in the early 11th century, VIKINGS: VALHALLA chronicles the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived: legendary explorer Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his fearless and tenacious sister Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), and the ambitious Northern prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter). When tensions between the Viking chieftains and the English royal house reach a bloody breaking point and the Vikings themselves are torn between Christian and pagan beliefs, these three legendary characters embark on an epic journey across seas and battlefields from Kattegat to England and beyond , fighting for survival and glory.

Frida Gustavsson (the religious leader Freydis Eriksdotter), Sam Corlett (the explorer Leif Eriksson), Leo Suter (the Viking ruler Harald Hardrada), Bradley Freegard (King Canute), Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (Olaf Haraldsson), Laura Berlin (Emma of Normandy), David Oakes (the Earl of Godwin) and Caroline Henderson (Jarl Haakon) are regulars. Pollyanna McIntosh (Aelfgifu from Northampton) and Asbjørn Krogh Nissen (Jarl Kåre) are recurring performers. At their side Louis Davison (Prince Edmund), Bosco Hogan (King Æthelred II) andSoren Pilmark (King Sweyn Forkbeard).
