During his tour, the billionaire reviewed a manga and even raffle money , but, mainly, he “learned the importance” of the Earth.
“I would like as many people as possible, and as many people with power and influence, to visit space,” Maezawa said at a press conference on Wednesday after his return to the planet .
“They will see Earth differently and treat it completely differently,” he added. Maezawa didn’t seem concerned about the costs that would entail.
Regardless of the expense
Maezawa’s net worth is $ 1.9 billion, according to Forbes. Its space tourism doesn’t end with the ISS, as it is chartering Elon Musk’s first civilian SpaceX flight around the Moon, scheduled for 2023.
