WhatsApp updates day by day are improving and using new tools for a better interaction with its user.
WhatsApp is one of the most popular online messaging applications in the world, therefore, it must constantly update its operating system, either to stay ahead of the curve or to protect its users from any threat.
One of these possible threats arises when it comes to identifying a user, since in many cases there are bots or malicious profiles, which only seek to put people at risk, either with a virus or simply by acquiring their information to use it negatively.
For this reason, WhatsApp in its latest updates has implemented a gray icon within the profile, which is used to recognize if a user has a real or false profile. But what does it mean that a WhatsApp profile is verified?
whatsapp verified
WhatsApp offers different services to the user, from calls, sending files, posting statuses and making video calls. For this reason, the messaging service seeks to protect its users through different tools used when sending a message, this is the case of the verification mark or a gray check that usually appears when said text is sent or at the time to receive it.
The meaning of this gray check means that the message has been sent perfectly to the sender. In this way, check if the message has reached the other user or not, so that, if it has been received, a double gray check will appear and if not, only a check will be seen.
On the other hand, if the user has read the message sent to them, said action will automatically be verified with a double blue check. This may vary if it is a group chat, since this blue verification will only be seen when the entire group has read said text.
Also, if the user does not want other people to not see this blue verification when sending or receiving a message, he can adjust it to his liking.
There is an option within the WhatsApp settings , which allows this blue color not to be displayed when you read a message in a chat. Here the steps:
Activate the unread function of WhatsApp
- Open WhatsApp .
- The user must go to WhatsApp settings .
- Go to the Account section and click on Privacy.
- In the options within privacy, you will verify the Reading Confirmation section.
- Press Deactivate Reading Function and that’s it
In this way, the double blue check will be deactivated in WhatsApp . It should be noted that when you deactivate the function, you will not be able to see this verification of other users either.
