The WhatsApp application , a sub-brand of Meta , has been testing a new feature that improves the way we share photos and videos on the platform.
WhatsApp continues to implement new features, although at a slower rate than Telegram , its most dangerous rival. In the case of information-sharing tools, however, the Meta -managed application has increased greater filters to control the spread of fake news and other functions to synchronize messages regardless of whether the phone was not in contact. However, there is room for improvement, and now WhatsApp aims to change the photo and video sharing experience.
According to the specialized site WABetaInfo , WhatsApp has been testing a merger in the Android beta that allows sharing a photo or video to specific accounts at the same time. Specifically, you will be able to choose one or more recipients when sending audiovisual files.
The screenshot shared by the media shows what the pop-up menu for this new feature will look like. In this new update to version 2.22.10.6 on Android, WhatsApp incorporates these functions:
Send the content to all contacts
Send to all contacts, except certain people
Only send to selected people – they can be more than one –
This function could be equivalent to the general message broadcast, one of the tools used for mass messaging within the platform.
States Privacy
Another novelty that WhatsApp is preparing is the ability to show statuses only to selected contacts. For this, you must enter the three vertical points in the upper right corner from the “Status” tab and select the option that best suits you in the “status privacy” submenu.
These changes occur due to WhatsApp’s plans for the inclusion of the “Communities” tab, an addition that requires a reorganization of access on the platform. With these adjustments, Meta seeks to make it easier to use these new features when the user encounters the final update.
