Meta -owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is adding more emojis to its reactions feature.
WhatsApp is known to be working on adding reactions to messages , and now some beta testers of WhatsApp for Android are testing a new version of message reactions with more emojis.
At the beginning of the reports, the beta version of WhatsApp only allowed you to react to messages with a few emojis, in total you could choose between 6 emoji: 👍, ❤️, 😂, 😢 and 🙏 .
However, according to WABetaInfo , WhatsApp is finally working on a version that offers more reactions for a future official update.
WhatsApp reactions When do they arrive?
As you can see in the screenshot of WABetaInfo, WhatsApp plans to add a ‘+’ button in the reaction bar, where the user will be able to choose a wide variety of emojis to react to a certain message.
There’s no telling how many emojis there will be, but like the other Meta apps , like Facebook Messenger and Instagram , there may be a long list of emojis to choose from. The new changes are being added to the beta versions of WhatsApp for iOS and Android .
WhatsApp Beta How to enter the testing program?
Launch the browser from your computer, or Google Chrome desktop mode on your Android mobile device .
Click on this link , log in with your account and click on “ become a beta tester ”. In this way, you will already be part of this selected group. If you can’t access this option, try using a different browser or incognito mode.
Google Play will replace the current version of WhatsApp with the latest beta update, and will continue to do so while a new version is in development.
To exit the beta, you can access the same link above and select “ exit the program ”.
