WhatsApp will stop updating on these cell phone models as of November 1.
WhatsApp continues to leave phones with older operating systems of its compatibility list.
Already in March, WhatsApp said goodbye to the iPhone with iOS 9, and now it is going for more from November 1.
WhatsApp will only be compatible with phones with iOS 10 onwards and Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean.”
WhatsApp supports these operating systems:
1️⃣ Android OS 4.1 and later.
2️⃣ iPhone with iOS 10 and later.
3️⃣ Some phones with KaiOS 2.5.1 and later.
Cell phones that will no longer have WhatsApp
In the case of iPhones, WhatsApp will stop updating on iPhone 4S and earlier models.
On Android, devices such as the Sony Xperia Arc S and Huawei Ascend P1 LTE will no longer be supported.

Go to Settings> System> Advanced> System update.
There you can find your Android version and if you have an update available.
