In recent days we have reported some rumors about the cameo of Superman ( Henry Cavill ) in Black Adam , and now new rumors corroborate those rumors.
In a recent episode of Marvelvision Podcast , Devin Faraci claims that Dwayne Johnson himself fought for Cavill ‘s return, not only to make him appear in the film, but also to keep his Superman in the DC Extended Universe :
The reason Henry Cavill returned as Superman in Black Adam is that The Rock requested him. He lobbied all-out on Warner Bros., and got them to go to Henry Cavill to sign a new deal with him, making him say they will develop a new Superman movie… and all this because The Rock insisted.
ViewerAnon, usually well informed about these things, also reports the same scoop.
I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes, these aren’t my scoops to make, but I think Henry Cavill fans are going to be happy moving forward with DC movies. It seems like the bridge between WB and Cavill has been crossed and it’s not just a BLACK ADAM scene.

Both talk about a deal that isn’t just about the cameo in Black Adam , but more: does that mean fans will finally have another lonely Man of Steel movie? The new Warner bosses seemed very interested in working on Superman , so it wouldn’t come as a surprise.
However, Black Adam will be released on October 20 in Italian cinemas, and will be the only cinecomic of the DC Extended Universe coming from here to the end of the year: Shazam: Fury of the gods has in fact been postponed to 2023 , taking the place of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (also postponed by eight months).
We will keep you posted.
