“X > S”: Xiaomi ‘trolls’ Samsung after the reveal of its new folding phones

Xiaomi took advantage of Unpacked 2022 and the announcement of the Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 to launch a curious post on Twitter.

Samsung revealed this Wednesday new folding phones Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 and, in the midst of its great celebration, Xiaomi wanted to make fun of the subject a little.

Xiaomi , who has also entered the world of foldable phones , wrote a post in his Brazilian subsidiary regarding the subject and it only shows how the marketing areas are aware of their rivals.

“X > Z”

Xiaomi Brazil made a reminder on Twitter in the middle of the presentation.

“Quick reminder: Xiaomi offers you bigger and better solutions anywhere in this Galaxy,” he said, referring to Samsung’s Galaxy brand.

To continue with the joke, he accompanied the image with his phones forming an “X > Z”, in reference to the new equipment.

But it’s not the first time. When Samsung launched its M series, Xiaomi Mexico wrote “Ah! Now we understand, the M is for fear.”

The folding ground

The Z Fold 4 , Samsung ‘s foldable tablet phone , is billed by the company as a “multitasking powerhouse.” It houses the latest Qualcomm processor, a higher resolution display, comes with Android 12L, and offers a new 1TB variant.

Samsung also updated the device’s camera system. On the back, there are three cameras consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens.

On the Z Flip 4 side , the team is updated with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and increases its battery by 12%. The cell phone has two rear cameras, one is a 12MP main camera with OIS image stabilization, with better light performance of 1.8µm pixels. The other is a 12 MP ultra-wide camera with an angle of 123 degrees, while a hole-punch selfie camera is 10 MP.

Xiaomi , for its part, is hours away from presenting the Mix Fold 2, which is expected  to have an 8” folding screen with an external 6.5” screen for multitasking, with a refresh rate of 120 hertz and that will be powered by the  Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, with 12GB of RAM and with storage options up to 1TB.
